Piste de glace d'Abondance - Informations

The Abondance ice circuit offers an interesting layout with hairpins, linked corners and long curves, at least 600 m long. It includes every type of corner you can meet on the road in winter, as well as a flat area for training exercises. It is the ideal place in the Alps to learn to master sliding and control skids. Long curves, hairpins, straights: at Abondance you learn while having fun!

Technical features of the ice circuit:
- Length of the ice circuit: 600 metres minimum
- Track width: 10 m on the straights / 15 m in the corners
- Flat area of more than 2,000 m² for driving exercises and workshops
- Briefing room and reception on site
- Opening period: 20 December to 1 March
The layout may vary slightly depending on the weather, always offering a minimum length of 600 m and all types of corners.

The ice circuit is located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, just 15 minutes from the Swiss border.

The Expertpilot group is behind the ice driving track project in Abondance.
Since creating the Geoparc circuit in the Vosges in 2005, the Expertpilot group has been developing in the automotive and driver training sectors:
- Operation of the Geoparc circuit
- Development of driving courses on quality circuits in France, Belgium and Germany
- Organisation of the Trophée Andros ice race at Geoparc and other car/motorcycle races
- Creation of the training centre for motorsport instructors in eastern France
- Licence points recovery courses
