The circuit of Sables d'Olonne, also called Well of Hell, was closed and sold by the ASA in Vendée Coastal Conservancy. The goal is to clean up the site and replace the circuit by a natural open space to the public.

Only approved racetrack on the department of Vendée, the creation of the Well of the circuit d'Enfer in 1959. At that time this circuit was the very first one speed circuits in France. The original route no longer exists even if insiders may recognize the old track in places. Many car races were held on this circuit for several years.
