Three Sisters Circuit
Three Sisters Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield
WN4 8DD Wigan
United Kingdom
Three Sisters Circuit is located in Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan, in Greater Manchester. It stands on the site of the former Garswood Hall colliery, whose three spoil heaps, nicknamed the "Three Sisters", gave the place its name; the area is now a wooded country park. Opened in November 1978, initially as a karting track, the circuit is 1,497 m long with 8 corners. It mainly hosts club racing for cars and motorcycles. Neil Hodgson, British Superbike champion in 2000, won his first race here in 1990, and Lando Norris and George Russell raced here in karting.
The circuit runs full-day car track days in 15-minute sessions by group (novice, road cars, track day cars), with no more than ten cars on track, a safety briefing and noise testing in the morning. In-car coaching, classroom sessions and helmet hire are available as options. The venue also has a fleet of karts for groups and welcomes motorcycles and karts.
