The ACS is an association under Swiss Civil Code, founded on December 6, 1898, and aimed to group the drivers to defend their interests in transport policy, economics, tourism, sports and in any other field related to the automobile, such as consumer protection and the environment. The ACS devotes special attention to traffic laws as well as its application and is committed to road safety.
The club, as a whole, consists of 20 sections each organized as an independent association.
